Confirmation Email - Option to Not Send when booking new appointments

There is currently an option when re-scheduling a patients appointment, to de-select a box so another confirmation email is not sent. Is it possible to create the same thing for when booking New Appointments? The confirmation email is great, however it would be useful to have the option to send or not, as in some cases it may not be necessary.
