Discount Code field for online payments

Is there a way to add a coupon/ discount code field to online payments? I have an idea to email or whatsapp existing clients a friends and family offer that they can share. When the recipient goes to book online they can book a regular new patient appointment and enter the discount code before pre paying for their appointment online. I guess might also be useful for in person payments.
